The Oxney Organic Estate is in East Sussex, between Rye and Tenterden, is one of England’s most southerly vineyards and one of the few which is run on organic principles. The soils are of sand and loam over a clay subsoil. The upper levels of the soil are therefore free draining and poor in nutrients whilst the clay below can hold water in the drier months of the year. A superlative example of an organic rosé, proving that organic wine can be very, very good - raspberries and pear on the nose, fresh and bright, full of joy.
