English Wine Week Box
English Wine Week Box
We asked Clive to select three sparkling wines and three still wines that, over the past year, have really stood out in terms of both value and quality and then we thought “let’s create a case of them.” We have created a delicious Wine Box to celebrate English Wine Week, with this box we want to showcase the best of what English Wine has to offer. All of these wines have been carefully selected by our Master of Wine, and delivers diverse and interesting palates, suitable for any wine lover or anyone who wants to try and discover something new.
Squerryes 2015: A deeply coloured red displaying ruby hues and delivering a light red and dark fruit scent, think cherry and bramble and plum. Despite the density of the colour, the wine has a light body, soft tannins with a fresh edge of acidity making it very accessible and smooth and it carries a mouthful of fruit flavour with a touch of black pepper.
Oxney Rose: A superlative example of an organic rosé, proving that organic wine can be very, very good - raspberries and pear on the nose, fresh and bright, full of joy.
Simpsons Pinot Meunier: The Derringstone Pinot Meunier displays chalk purity and sweet and savoury aromas of poached winter fruit. Complex balsamic nuances and red fruit flavours finish with a deliciously creamy mouth-feel.
